DOUGOURI Bosso Alidou works as a stock manager at the Regional Hospital Center in Burkina Faso. He is responsible for the distribution and monitoring of the use of drugs, medical consumables and laboratory reagents as well as medical oxygen. He is dynamic and rigorous in the execution of the tasks entrusted to him.

He states that poor management of healthcare products can lead to stock-outs or overstocking which results in the immobilization of funds and difficulties in the implementation of activities. Therefore, we require skilled actors with practical knowledge of the supply chain.

He intends to encourage the healthcare managers to collect and disseminate logistics data on healthcare products, and to establish key logistics indicators for the management of healthcare products within the hospital and to monitor these indicators on an ongoing basis. He recommends that professionals must work to ensure that population has access to quality healthcare products at the right time and at the right cost.

If I could change one thing in the workplace, it would be to reduce stock-outs as much as possible to ensure that health products are always available to consumers, says Bosso Alidou.

On his association with Bee Skilled Hive, he said he had relevant and fruitful exchanges and learned several health supply chain competencies.
