Lynett Ngonyamo is a pharmacy technician and currently works as a warehouse supervisor at Pharmaceutical and Chemical Distribution (PCD).  She manages the inventory of pharmaceutical products to ensure that they meet all requirements of Good Storage Practices and MCAZ regulations.

As a Pharmacy Technician, she is involved in the supply chain. She is passionate about career development and strives for improvement. Her educational background has helped her to be more effective in her practice as a pharmacy technician. She believes that hands-on experience is needed to bridge the gap between academia and the public health supply chain, which is why a job or internship provides a solid pathway into the supply chain field.

“It is important to protect health supply chain from counterfeit or falsified pharmaceutical products in our communities by ensuring that all MCAZ guidelines are followed.”, says Lynett.

One of the things she wants to change in her workplace is to be able to use the benchmarking system like other organizations in South Africa and adapt the way they manage their pharmaceutical warehouses, as continuous improvement is essential to the growth of any organization.

On her association with Bee Skilled Hive, she says that a collaborative learning environment on Hive helped her to adopt new ideas which she could implement in her workplace.
