Maxime Guilavogui works as a COVAX logistics assistant at CHEMONICS INTERNATIONAL in Guinea. He is responsible for the coordination, planning and monitoring of logistics activities related to the COVAX program. He is in charge for the execution of activities such as procurement of vaccines and managing the national inventory. He also manages the documentation of the program and provides necessary support wherever needed.
Maxime states that his passion for the supply chain originated following a training session organized by USAID – CHEMONICS under the GHSC-PSM project. He intends to improve the situation of the health care supply chain in his country by improving the accessibility of quality and timely healthcare products at all levels of Guinea’s health care facilities.
He encourages young professionals to enter the field of healthcare supply chain, as there is a significant need to manage the system by qualified professionals.
In his opinion, the most effective way to acquire new skills is to use digital technologies and find relevant online courses on supply chains, management and leadership.
“If I could change one thing about my workplace, it would be to provide timely access to the high-quality healthcare products, through a patient-centric supply chain,” says Maxime.
On his association with Hive, Maxime feels that this platform has provided him with knowledge in the health supply chain field which he can implement in his workplace.
